About the Courses

These hybrid courses provide detailed instruction for snowplow operators. Each course includes a 90-minute online component and a 5-hour in-person training session. Trainees need to bring an agency plow or rent one from the driving center for $200. 
 
Individuals can register to attend only the day one course or both courses.

  • Guardrail and mailbox clearance
  • Forward-diminishing clearance
  • Front-stop positioning
  • Very tight serpentine in reverse
  • Rear-stop positioning
  • Very tight circles (left and right)
  • Curb clearing
  • On-road turning
  • Judgment of right side tires to a specific object
  • Proper mirror set-up and visual areas
  • Wing and plow clearance (left and right)
