2026 CEAM Annual Conference highlighted innovative ideas with lasting impact

Record attendance marked this year’s City Engineers Association of Minnesota (CEAM) Annual Conference, held January 28–30 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bloomington. The event drew 564 professionals from around the state to take in insightful presentations and network.

Paul Krismer, best-selling author and executive coach, delivered one of the conference’s highest-rated keynotes. His uplifting presentation, “The Serious Business of Positive Emotions,” unpacked how happiness is more than just a feeling; it’s a proven driver of success. Krismer discussed the science of positive psychology, offering attendees practical skills to overcome negativity bias and transform workplace culture.

The conference featured several breakout sessions each day, ranging from hot topics in construction to the ethics of AI, the latter of which was a brand-new subject this year.
