MnLTAP staff member elected to APWA-MN Executive Committee

Katherine Stanley, MnLTAP senior manager of training and technical assistance, was recently elected to serve as state/county/regional director on the Executive Committee of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA-MN). During her two-year term, Stanley will serve as a liaison for APWA-MN’s Public Awareness and Asset Management committees, representing state, county, and regional interests.

APWA-MN has a longstanding history of collaboration with MnLTAP. A representative member serves on the MnLTAP Steering Committee, and the organization has helped shape the direction of the program since its inception—which Stanley hopes to see progress even further during her term.

“They’ve always had a seat at the table,” Stanley says. “I really want to help drive their mission and make them more visible across the state. Membership stands at 1,200, but there's vast room for growth since public works is everywhere.” Stanley’s position on the committee will allow her to provide APWA-MN with as much support as possible, she explains.

Stanley was inducted into the position at an Officer Installation ceremony during APWA-MN’s Fall Conference, which was held November 20-21 at the Mystic Lake Center in Prior Lake.
