It may not feel like it, but spring is right around the corner! With the warming temperatures come melting snow and roadway load restrictions. MnDOT applies these spring load limits to our state and federal trunk highways. MnLTAP can be a resource to help you manage your agency's local roadway load restrictions.
Through MnLTAP’s Truck-Weight Education Program, local agencies can better coordinate with MnDOT and neighboring counties to help local shippers. MnDOT’s Seasonal Load Limits web page provides dates and guidance on when to apply load limits as well as historical records. Reminder: Past years are only a guide for when limits will be removed, and agencies should coordinate with MnDOT and neighboring counties to add and remove restrictions.
