Andrew Wrucke has been named Director of Training and Technical Assistance at the Center for Transportation Studies (CTS). In this new position, Wrucke will provide leadership for CTS in the areas of training and technical assistance—including serving as director of Minnesota LTAP. He started in the role on May 6, succeeding MnLTAP interim director Mindy Carlson.

“We are fortunate to have Andrew join us in this important role,” says Gina Baas, deputy director of CTS. “Andrew has strong technical experience at the local agency level and understands our connection to research and engagement in addition to education and workforce development.”

Wrucke joins CTS after engineering positions with the City of West Fargo and Cass County in North Dakota. He also worked for several years at the Upper Great Plains Institute at North Dakota State University, the home of the North Dakota’s LTAP.

"I look forward to continuing the great training and workforce development MnLTAP has provided,” Wrucke says, “and to working with cities and counties to develop new training that meets the evolving workforce needs of Minnesota."

Wrucke will work from Moorhead where he lives with his wife, Danielle Fiebelkorn Wrucke, a researcher with the Northwest Research and Outreach Center at the of University of Minnesota Crookston.

Welcome, Andrew!
