A new app provides handheld, quick, and easy access to information on the various types and functions of geosynthetic materials for use in road construction and maintenance projects. The FHWA Center for Local Aid Support officially launched the free app, a collaborative effort between the FHWA and the Geosynthetics Materials Association.
Features include specification requirements and site inspection guidance for walls, slopes, pavement, erosion control, and drainage. Also included are quick searches, key terms, notes tracker, bookmarks, checklists, shared documents, and informational videos. The app is available through Google Play and the App Store.
