The Local Infrastructure Hub is helping local leaders navigate and understand information from the federal government on the funding opportunities available through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). The Hub program, launched last May, will help cities and towns develop competitive funding applications. It has a special focus on helping traditionally underserved cities and towns.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law consists of nearly 400 distinct funding opportunities across a range of issues—roads and bridges, broadband internet, clean water, resilience, and beyond. The first-of-its-kind Hub is a national program to ensure that all cities and towns can access BIL funding. Program offerings include technical assistance, webinars, and guidance about application criteria and timeframes.
The program is funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Ballmer Group, Emerson Collective, Ford Foundation, and The Kresge Foundation, and delivered by the National League of Cities, U.S. Conference of Mayors, Results for America, and Delivery Associates.
