Cold in-place recycling (CIR) will now be more efficient thanks to a curing-prediction model and spreadsheet to reliably estimate the process time. CIR is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly asphalt repaving method.
The research identified the factors that affect CIR pavement curing, including the types of materials used, the outside temperature, and the compacted density of the recycled asphalt. The new knowledge and spreadsheet will help optimize construction schedules and minimize traffic disruptions.
