Snowplow Salt and Sander Controller Calibration Hands-on Workshop (CTAP)
This workshop is designed to help local and state agency snowplow operators calibrate their snowplow salt and sander controllers. Discussion will focus on the importance of applying the correct amount of salt, sand, or other solid materials when treating roads during winter maintenance.
This workshop is focused on the calibration of 5100 and 6100 Force America controllers. Attendees will receive hands-on calibration instruction. An easy-to-use calibration guide with step-by-step instructions for operating both automatic and manual controllers will be provided to every participant.

Kathleen Schaefer became the CTAP instructor in 2001 and conducts road maintenance workshops throughout Minnesota. She has worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation since 1997.
